The Bianco “Villa Antinori” from the Antinori winery is a fresh and light white wine produced in San Casciano in Val di Pesa, in the province of Florence. This label is obtained from a blend of Trebbiano, Malvasia, Pinot Bianco, Pinot Grigio grapes plus a small part of Riesling Renano from vineyards located at different altitudes and characterized by optimal exposure. The vines are grown using the espalier method with Guyot pruning and spurred cordon on medium-textured soils characterized by calcareous-clay soils. The winery, family-run for 26 generations now, is one of the most important and most appreciated companies in the world for the production of fine and very high quality wines, synonymous with the history and tradition of Italian wine. The Bianco “Villa Antinori” from Antinori is produced with carefully selected grapes and harvested by hand generally around the third ten days of August. The bunches then reach the cellar where they are softly pressed and then cooled to a temperature of around 10 °C to promote natural clarification and carry out alcoholic fermentation at low temperatures, never above 18 °C, in stainless steel tanks for a few weeks. The wine is then drawn off, after which it ages for a few months in stainless steel containers before being bottled and finally ready for sale. The Bianco Antinori “Villa Antinori” has a pale straw yellow color with light greenish reflections. The nose shows intense aromas of fresh white fruit and crunchy fruit, including apple, pear, pineapple and banana, floral notes of wild flowers, then veering towards delicate spicy hints and candied fruit. In the mouth it is agile, lean and drinkable, characterized by a pleasant freshness at times savoury-mineral and a finish of good persistence.
